Executive Committee
The Executive Committee are the Trustees of Winchester Hospital Radio.
They are members of the organisation elected to manage the charity and
responsible for the conduct of Winchester Hospital Radio.
Like all members or WHR, the Executive Commitee are volunteers.
The organisation has no paid staff.
The committee currently comprises the following members:
- Chairman -
Anna O'Brien -
WHR's "figurehead", chairs all Executive Committee and General Meetings. Responsible for the strategic direction of WHR.
- Vice-Chairman -
Ian Kemp -
deputises for the Chairman in their absence.
- Treasurer -
Nigel Dallard -
maintains all WHR's accounts and prepares financial statements as required by the Executive Committee.
- Acting Station Manager -
Paul Blitz -
one of the 2 main operational roles on the Executive Committee. Responsible for the station's general administration and discipline, including all communications (both internally and external PR); volunteer recruitment and induction. Co-ordinates membership matters generally and the provision of training including Health and Safety.
- Fundraising Manager -
Position Vacant -
co-ordinates all fundraising events organised by WHR.
- Programme Controller -
Jimmy Luff -
one of the 2 main operational roles on the Executive Committee. Responsible for programme content and presentation; Outside Broadcasts; maintaining the Music Library; and studio and broadcasting discipline. Also responsible for ensuring regular visiting to all designated inpatient wards, collection of requests and distribution of Programme Guides.
- Chief Engineer -
Paul Blitz -
responsible for the design, purchase, installation and maintenance of all WHR's equipment. Ensures that all equipment meets current health and safety requirements.
